Perlane® Injectable Filler Gel
Perlane® and Perlane-L injectable filler products are both a part of the Restylane family, manufactured by Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation, a leader in dermatological and cosmetic specialty product lines. Dermal, injectable fillers, like Perlane® have grown in popularity among surgeons since approved by the FDA. Restylane was approved in 2003, and later, Perlane was approved in 2007 and introduced to the aesthetics industry.
Perlane® and Perlane-L, is a leading anti-aging dermal product used to fill in wrinkles and smooth out facial lines, dimples and folds in the skin, and to add volume and fullness, firmness to sagging, aging skin. Perlane can also be used to fill in scars and hollowed our skin areas. Men and women enjoy their more youthful, softer, natural features after Perlane injections. Most women and men seek Perlane treatments to fill in areas and plump skin where collagen is depleted and the signs of aging are advanced.
About Perlane
Perlane is almost identical to Restylane in composition, except Perlane consists of larger gel particles, which means this product may be a better choice to fill in deeper lines, wrinkles and scars than other dermal fillers. Patients can expect Perlane and Perlane-L results to last 6-12 months before they may have to schedule their next filler appointment for facial correction.
Perlane is the same as Perlane-L, however Perlane-L contains lidocaine, a numbing agent to reduce pain when injected.
Perlane is biotechnologically engineered, non-animal, stabilized hyaluronic acid gel - medically classified and intended for implantation into the deep dermis to superficial subcutis to restore facial contours and for the correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles.
Perlane is derived of dimensional, hydrophilic molecules, which attract and bind water molecules as they degrade. This process helps to hydrate the skin and maintain volume augmentation for about six months.
Perlane should only be administered under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
